Privacy
This site is designed to collect no personal data. This page explains what happens, and what does not happen, when you visit it.
No cookies, no advertising trackers
The site sets no cookie and writes nothing to your browser’s storage. It uses no advertising tracker, no embedded social-network button, and no font or image loaded from a third-party server: everything is served from the site itself. For that reason, it shows no consent banner.
Audience measurement
The site measures its traffic with Umami Cloud, a statistics tool that uses no cookies. Its script is loaded from cloud.umami.is: it is the only resource the site loads from an outside server. The measurements are sent to Umami.
- Page views are counted. The site sends no name and no email address.
- Four events are counted: opening an entry (section, landmark, language), a search (number of words and results, rank of the result chosen; the text you type is never transmitted), a click on a partner link (partner, theme, landmark, language) and a click on a “See also” link between two entries (entry of origin, destination entry, language).
- If your browser sends the “Do Not Track” signal, the site asks the tool to measure nothing.
- Nothing is written on your device: no cookie, no local storage.
Host access logs
Like any web server, the one that hosts the site (Hostinger International Ltd.) records technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) to keep the service secure and working, for a limited time set by the host. The publisher does not use these logs to identify or follow you.
Links to third-party sites
Some entries link to outside websites: government agencies, booking services, partner links. Nothing is loaded from these sites until you click; once you are on them, their own rules apply.
Partner links
Some links are partner links (affiliate links), labelled “partner link”. If you book or buy after clicking, the author may earn a commission at no extra cost to you; the recommendations remain the author’s own. Once you click through, the partner’s site applies its own rules (cookies, data).
Your rights
If you write to the publisher, your message and email address are used only to answer you. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of data concerning you. To exercise these rights: contact@exploramatours.com. If you disagree, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): cnil.fr.
